Our Wish List

The Big Sister League of San Diego relies on generous donations from people like you.

We have a need for the following items:

• Gift Cards - Costco, grocery stores, office supply stores, mass merchandisers such as Target or Wal-Mart.
• Paper / Plastic Goods – Napkins, plates, drinking cups, paper towels, toilet tissue, facial tissues, plastic flatware, zip-top food storage bags (quart & gallon sizes).
• Cleaning Supplies – Chlorine bleach, Pine Sol, Formula 409, Windex, liquid dish soap, scrubber sponges, steel wool scrubbing pads, powder cleansers (i.e. Comet), cleaning rags, rubber gloves, Lysol spray, unscented liquid laundry detergent, liquid hand soap.
• Non-Perishable Foods – Peanut butter, jam, canned fruits and vegetables, olive and canola oil, canned soups, cold cereals, brown rice, dried beans, pastas, tea bags, coffee, powdered coffee creamer, lemonade or fruit punch concentrate, cake or brownie mixes, frosting, crackers, Jello, Sweet ‘n’ Low, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce and salad dressings).
• Emergency Supplies – First aid kits, individually packaged moist towelettes, adhesive bandages, antibiotic ointment in single-use packets, Ace bandages, gauze pads or rolls, ten-gallon plastic containers for water, respirator masks (N95 or comparable), heavy-duty flashlights and batteries.
• Office Supplies – Fax machine, white copy paper, self-adhesive file folder and mailing labels (approximately 1” x 2.5”) in sheets for inkjet printers, postage stamps.
• Cooking Equipment – 2 each: heavy-duty aluminum stockpot with lid, 20-24 quart capacity; hand-held electric mixer, 4-slice toaster, blender, waffle iron.
• Vacuum cleaners – Upright, bag less.
• Linens – Twin size: sheets, pillowcases acrylic blankets, mattress pads, bed skirts, comforters, bedspreads, zippered vinyl mattress covers. Hand / kitchen towels.
• Miscellaneous – Plastic storage boxes (sized for under bed use). Tickets to local events and attractions – theater, movies, musical performances, museums, zoo, Sea World, etc.
