The Big Sister League celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Mentor Program at its Annual Picnic on Saturday, September 6th. There were games, crafts, fun food like cotton candy and sno-cones, as well as lunch and even dessert! Little Sisters decorated notebooks and got to pick out new backpacks for school. Backpacks and school supplies were donated by Symitar and by Jennifer Bowen and friends. Little Sisters had professional photos taken, individually and with their Big Sisters, and will get free copies of those special keepsakes.
Several of the League's devoted donors attended, including Dean Andersen from San Diego National Bank, Yvonne Vargas and Mary Stillwell of Symitar, and Deborah Davidson, Debra Aitken and Debbie Curtis of Commercial Real Estate Women. The League thanks them for their long-time support and donations. Thanks also to staff and residents of Big Sister League for their efforts in making this a wonderful, successful day!
